Are you a post-secondary student interested in sustainable building practices, looking to beef up both your skills, and resume?
Here at Frameworks, we are so excited to announce our upcoming collaboration with Sustainable Buildings Canada, to bring students in the region the opportunity to partake in the Better Buildings Boot Camp this August. SWR is providing the building project for the Camp – which we are currently finalizing – so stay tuned for updates!
The BBBC provides students with an immersive five day program, wherein students will collaborate using an IDP to create actionable recommendations for a real-life project. Monday through Wednesday, students will participate in workshops, hear from expert speakers, and work with their team to synthesize their recommendations. Thursday, students will spend the day observing a professional workshop featuring the project team, and SBC experts. Finally, on Friday students will present their ideas to the project team directly, and receive immediate feedback.
The Boot Camp is open to graduate degree, certificate or diploma students from Canadian universities and colleges. Senior undergraduates and recent graduates of any program may apply, but please note the pace of the program is accelerated. We encourage students from any and all disciplines to apply! You will be placed in multi-disciplinary cross-institutional teams during the week, so it’s also an excellent opportunity to broaden your network with like-minded individuals!
